Equipment

  • Bamboo Whisk or Milk Frother
  • Sieve

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 1 tbsp hot water
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • ¼ medium lemon cut into round slices
  • ¼ cup fresh mint
  • cup ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together the matcha with the 1 tbsp water using a bamboo whisk or a milk frother.
  • In a stovetop pot, add in the water, maple syrup, mint and lemon slices.
  • Bring this to a boil, then remove from the heat. Let it sit covered, for 15 minutes.
  • Whisk the matcha-water mixture into the pot.
  • Add the ice to a tall glass. Pour the drink from the pot through a sieve, into the glass. The lemon and mint will be strained out.
  • Top with optional lemon slices and fresh mint. Enjoy!
