- 3 cups water
- 2 whole cinnamon sticks
- 1 medium crisp red apple cut into slices
- 2 tsp fresh ginger cut into thin slices
- ΒΌ tsp ground nutmeg
Add the 3 cups of water to a stovetop pot over high heat.
Bring the mixture to a boil.
After boiling, turn off the heat and add the remaining ingredients in.
Cover the pot with a lid and leave for 12 hours, or overnight.
The next day, strain the tea into two mugs. You can keep the leftover apples for eating, and the cinnamon sticks can be dried and re-used in another recipe. Remove these from the pot and set aside.
Add the tea back into the pot. Bring it to a boil over high heat.
Once boiling, remove from heat and pour into 2 mugs.
Serve hot. Enjoy!
