Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups water
  • 2 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 1 medium crisp red apple cut into slices
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger cut into thin slices
  • ΒΌ tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Add the 3 cups of water to a stovetop pot over high heat.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil.
  • After boiling, turn off the heat and add the remaining ingredients in.
  • Cover the pot with a lid and leave for 12 hours, or overnight.
  • The next day, strain the tea into two mugs. You can keep the leftover apples for eating, and the cinnamon sticks can be dried and re-used in another recipe. Remove these from the pot and set aside.
  • Add the tea back into the pot. Bring it to a boil over high heat.
  • Once boiling, remove from heat and pour into 2 mugs.
  • Serve hot. Enjoy!
