Equipment

  • High Speed Blender & Sieve
  • or Juicer

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium orange peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium lemon peeled and chopped
  • 1-inch fresh turmeric root peeled and chopped
  • 1-inch fresh ginger root peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup pineapple chunks fresh or frozen
  • tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup cold water optional, to blend

Instructions
 

  • Add the orange, lemon, turmeric, ginger, pineapple, and black pepper (if using) into a high-speed blender, or a juicer.
  • Add a little water if needed to help blend. If using a juicer, you won't need to add water.
  • If using a blender, then pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to strain out the pulp. Press down with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
  • Pour the strained juice into 4 small shot glasses. Drink immediately or store in the refrigerator for later.

    • Store in airtight bottles in the refrigerator for up to two days.
