Why You’ll Love This 3-Ingredient Blueberry Lemon Sorbet

No Ice Cream Maker Required: Imagine enjoying a delicious, homemade sorbet without the need for any fancy kitchen gadgets. This recipe simplifies the process by eliminating the need for an ice cream maker. All you need is a blender or food processor and some freezing time, and you’re ready to create a refreshing treat. Simply blend your ingredients, freeze the mixture, and you’ll have a perfectly smooth and creamy sorbet. It’s an ideal choice for those who love homemade desserts but don’t want to invest in additional kitchen equipment or deal with complicated steps.

Pure and Wholesome Simplicity: This sorbet is all about celebrating the natural flavors of its ingredients with a minimalist approach. With only three wholesome ingredients—fresh blueberries, lemon juice, and a touch of sweetener—you’re getting a treat that’s both pure and nourishing. The blueberries provide a burst of antioxidants and vitamins, while the lemon juice adds a refreshing zing without overpowering the natural sweetness of the fruit. By using only these simple ingredients, you’re ensuring that every spoonful is free from artificial additives and preservatives, making it a guilt-free indulgence that’s as wholesome as it is delicious.

Substitutions

Frozen Blueberries: You can buy a large bag of frozen blueberries, which is usually cheaper than buying them fresh. They are usually also sweeter (in my experience) than fresh berries, which can be more tart than sweet sometimes. You can wash and freeze fresh berries as well, or experiment with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or a mix.

Pure Maple Syrup: Omit this ingredient if you want the recipe to be fully raw. If using this ingredient, look for pure maple syrup that only contains one ingredient (maple syrup) on the label. You can also substitute with agave nectar (which is not considered refined sugar-free).
